The museum is now closed after a very successful 2023 summer!  Thank you to everyone who came by to visit, who donated funds and items for the museum, and those who purchased art and handmade items.   Every penny counts and is used towards keeping the museum up and running.

Our next planned event will be Halloween and we will have our very popular Costume Trivia Night on October 28th!  Details to follow.

The Cape George Heritage Museum is a non-profit community organization run by volunteers. Initially, the museum was a place to showcase items that were relevant to life at Cape George, its people and how they lived. We have expanded to include the documentation, preservation and sharing of family histories, photographs, and the way life was lived and how it has changed over the years.

The museum relies on like-minded community members who contribute to what we hold and are committed to making it available for others. Everything on this site can be shared (noncommercial). It is our goal to continue to expand and grow our collection so that future generations will know about life on the shores of Nova Scotia and specifically Cape George.
