MACDONALD – At Big Marsh, Jun e10, 1936, at the age of 72, Mrs. Dan A. MacDonald. She was a woman of bright, cheerful disposition, well liked by all who knew her. Deceased was a daughter of the late John Heffernan, Georgeville, and Annie Gillis. Surviving are her husband, two sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Kate Carmichael, Big Marsh; Mrs. Angus MacIsaac, Antigonish; Michael Heffernan, Big Marsh; and James Heffernan, British Columbia. Mrs. MacDonald died consoled by the last rites of the Catholic Church of which she was a devout member. The funeral took place June 12th, requiem Mass being celebrated at Maryvale by Rev. B. Campbell who also officiated at the grave.
