Dan McPherson, formerly of Morar, in this County, at Butte, Montana, on Jan 17 last. Deceased was a son of Dan McPherson, Mail Contractor, and was in his fortieth year. This young man left Nova Scotia about nineteen years ago to try his fortune in the West. He worked in the lead mines of Montana and contracted lead poisoning, which finally developed into consumption. He was a young man of sterling character and had the confidence of his employers. About six years ago he married Miss Rose Murphy of Butte, who, with his father, mother, six sisters and three brothers survive him. A brother John died in England about a year ago from wounds received in action at Vimy Ridge. Deceased was consoled by all the rites of the Catholic Church of which he was a most devout member.
