The death took place at his home on Monday, April 8th of Daniel McDonald at the goodly old age of 97 years. Although he had passed the allotted span of three score and then by 27 years, he enjoyed the best of health until his last illness, which he took about two weeks before he died. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Monohan, Charlottetown, PEI; and five sons – James and Davide in Boston, John, Angus and Duncan in New Glasgow. The late Mr. McDonald was born at Cape George, Antigonish Co., and removed to New Glasgow over 36 years ago. He was a good honest industrious man, a typical Highland Scotman, and was respected by all who knew him.
