Dr. W. Chisholm, 83 Native of N.S. Dies
Mt. Dora, Fla., Nov. 9 – Dr. William A. Chisholm, an ear, nose and throat specialist in New York for about 40 years, died today of a cerebral hemorrhage in Stevens Hospital, Leesburn, Fla. He was 83. A native of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Dr. Chisholm had maintained a winter residence in Mt. Dora and a summer home in Cape George, Nova Scotia, since his retirement from active practice 15 years ago. He was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier College, Antigonish, and received his medical degree from Bellevue Medical School in New York in 1896. He had been attached to Bellevue Hospital for most of his professional career. Before beginning the study of medicine, Dr. Chisholm had been a country school teacher in Nova Scotia for ten years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Adelaide Berry Chisholm, and two sisters, Mrs. D.R. Graham and Mrs. Howard Williams both of Antigonish
