GILLIS – At S.S. Cape George, on the 9th inst., after an illness of long duration , which he bore with Christian patience, John (Duncan) Gillis, in the 66th year of his age. Deceased was an honest and industrious man, always mindful of his religious duties. He leaves five sons and four daughters, one brother, five sisters and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. Strengthened by all the rites of Holy Mother Church, he calmly yielded his soul to God with the firm hope of enjoying a glorious hereafter.
