On January 2, 1942, after a lingering illness and consoled by the last rites of the Church of which he was a faithful member, there died, Leo, youngest son of the late John and Catherine Heffernan, aged 22 years. He was of a kind and quiet disposition and will be greatly missed by his many friends. He leaves to mourn their loss besides his mother, three sisters and five brothers; Annie (Mrs. Charles Lanorigan), Brookline, Mass.; Harry at Kapuskasing, Ont.; James, New Glasgow, John at Georgeville; Margaret, Mary, Joseph and Bernard at home. On Jan. 5, after requiem Mass at Georgeville, by Rev. Blaise, Campbell, P.P., the remains were laid to rest in St. George’s cemetery.
