At his home in Boston, August 13, 1932, Dan Hugh MacInnis. He was the son of the late Hugh Colin MacInnis, and Catherine Beaton MacInnis, formerly of Cape George Point. HIs untimely death came as a shock to relatives and friends, for, though in failing health for many months he was improving and all hoped for a complete recovery. A few weeks before his death, however, complications set in which brought to a close, a life well spent. He is survived by his sorrowful mother, four brothers; Roderick, who nursed him tenderly and lovingly during his illness; Colin at Bailey’s Brook; Mitchel and John in the Canadian West; two sisters, Mrs. J. MacPherson (Sadie), with him when he died, and Mrs. Ambrose Chisholm (Mabel) Georgeville. Besides those sorrowing relatives he leaves a large number of friends who will long cherish the memory of one who was kind, loving and charitable to all. Fr. Hanlon, S.J., administered the sacrament of Extreme Unction and Fr. Keating, S.J., sang the high Mass of requiem at Immaculate Conception church, Harrison Ave., Boston. Interment was in St. Joseph’s cemetery, West Roxbury, August 16. The numerous expressions of sympathy, the many Mass cards and beautiful floral offerings bore ample testimony to the esteem in which the deceased was held.
