Daniel M. MacDonald of 72 West Bay Path Ter., a Canadian railroad man for 50 years, died Friday at his home following a brief illness. Mrs. MacDonald was born in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, son of the late John and Florence (Gillis) MacDonald.  A retired conductor for the Canadian National Railroad, Mr. MacDonald was first employed by the railroad when he was 15 years of age.  He retired in 1945.  For the past eight years he had lived in this city.  He was a communicant of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and Home City Council, Knights of Columbus.  He leaves his wife, Annie (MacInnis) MacDonald; two daughters, Mrs. Nicholas W. Zeo and Mrs. Leo B. Spear, both of his city; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Chisholm of Westville, Nova Scotia, and three grandchildren.  The funeral will be held at the State St. parlors of the T. P. Sampson Co. Monday at 8 a.m. with a Requiem high mass in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church at 9 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 7-10 tonight and from 2-5 and 7-10 p.m. Sunday.
