Funeral services were held last Saturday for the late Duncan MacDonald, 88 of Pleasant Valley and formerly of Cape George Point, at Holy Rosary Church, Ballantynes Cove, with the Rev. Angus MacGillivray officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mr. MacDonald died February 2 in Pleasant Valley. Pallbearers were Tommy MacEachern, Mark Macinnis, Dan MacInnis, Kimball Falkenham, Frank MacNeil, and Harold MacPhie. Born in Cape George Point, he was a son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (MacLean) MacDonald. He was a fisherman most of his life. He is survived by a sister, Charlotte, (Mrs. Dan MacGillivray), and a brother , Dan A., both of Pleasant Valley; a nephew and two nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Marian Sweetland; and a brother Allan.
