4 Mar 1947 Mary Ann MacDonald (MacDougall)
The death occurred on March 4, 1947, at her home on Monroe Ave., New Glasgow, of Mrs. John MacDonald in her 77th year. She had been in failing health the past few years, having been bedfast the last two months. She was born in Georgeville, Antigonish Co., the daughter of the late Mary Brown and Daniel MacDougall. Her only brother Mark died some years ago. She resided in New Glasgow the last 45 years, and leaves to mourn besides her husband, one daughter (Catherine), Mrs. J.D. MacDougall, Port Hood, C.B., and one son Michael, New Glasgow, also five grandchildren, and an adopted daughter, Margaret MacDoanld, Stelarton, N.S. The funeral was held from the home of her son, March 7, to Our Lady of Lourdes church where requiem high Mass was celebrated. Burial was in Lourdes cemetery.
