The death of Mrs. Lucy Chisholm occurred on January 14 at the home of her son, John W. Chisholm, Faulkland Street. Mrs. Chisholm, who had reached the age of 86 years, was born at Georgeville, Antigonish County, but had resided in Pictou for many years and had a wide circle of friends by whom she was held in high esteem and affection. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Chisholm of Stellarton, and Mrs. A.F. Burns, of Cornerbrook, Nfld., and one son, John W. Chisholm, of Pictou, with whom she resided. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Flora MacDonald, of Stellarton. The funeral was held from Stella Maris Church on the morning of Jan. 17, interment being made in the Roman Catholic cemetery. *Her husband was John Chisholm, who had died many years previously. Daughter of Hugh Gillis and Margaret MacLean. B: 13 Dec 1849, Georgeville. Married 10 Aug 1875 at Georgeville.
