Angus MacNeil, well known retired Antigonish County farmer, died Sunday at his home here following an illness of six weeks. He was 94 years of age. Born Feb. 6, 1863, Mr. MacNeil was born at Hallowell Grant, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald MacNeil. He married Flora, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. Malcolm MacLean of Georgeville, with whom he moved in 1924 to Antigonish. HIs widow survives; also three nieces; Mrs. Colin MacDonald, Antigonish; Mrs. Martha Mitchell, Chicago; Mrs. Mamie Butler, New York. The funeral was held Wednesday with Requiem Mass in St. Ninian’s Cathedral.
