22 Feb 1977 – Jeanette “Nettie” Mildred Jocelyn (MacEachern)
Funeral services were conducted in St. James United Church last week for Jeanette (Nettie) Mildred Jocelyn, 85, who died in St. Martha’s Hospital on February 22. She was the daughter of Dougall and Isabel (Hunter) MacEachern of Ballantynes Cove and the widow of Edward Huntley Jocelyn of Haley Road who died in 1939. Burial will be in the church cemetery, the pallbearers were John L. MacDonald, Joe Kell, Dan MacIsaac, Alex Adams, Ernest MacNaughton and Mansfield Falt. Mrs. Jocelyn was a member of Naomi Rebekah Lodge and for many years has been municipal registrar of births and deaths. She is survived by daughter Isabel (Mrs. W.A. Duncan), Montreal; son Roy Huntely, at home; and a grandson. Her four sisters and four brothers are dead.
