4 Oct 1978 – Margaret Chishom (MacNeil)
Margaret (Mrs. Alex R.) Chisholm, 84, of Lower South River, died on October 4 at home. A native of Georgeville, she was the former Margaret MacNeil, daughter of the late John and Mary (Brown) MacNeil. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mary (Mrs. Alex MacEachern), Lower South River; two sons; Colin and John Hugh, both of Lower South River; a sister, Agnes Gowdy, New York; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and one nephew. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services were held last Saturday at St. Andrew’s Church with Rev. Bernard Chisholm officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers for the service were John R. MacEachern, Hugh MacEachern, Graham Hayne, Sonny Rennie, John MacLellan and Colin MacIntosh.
