Anne Gamelin, 92, of Red Deer, Alberta, died recently in Red Deer. Born at Cape George, Antigonish County, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Matilda (MacEachern) MacInnis. Mrs. Gamelin was a teacher for 59 years. She taught school for several years in Antigonish County before moving to Saskatchewan to teach. She later taught in Edmonton, Alberta, where she retired in 1969. She is survived by three sons, Austin, Prince Albert, Sask.; William, Edmonton; and James, St. Louis, Sask.; two brothers Dan Hugh and Louis, both of Antigonish; 22 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey; her only daughter, Marie; five brothers, Mark, William, Colin, Angus and Colin F.; and four sisters, Margaret O’Hara, Mary and Elizabeth MacGillivray, all of Boston; and Catherine MacEachern, Livingstone’s Cove. Burial was in Edmonton with Rev. Leo Floyd officiating.
