Funeral services for the late Louis MacInnis, 90, of the R.K. MacDonald Guest Home, were held in Holy Rosary Church, Ballantyne’s Cover on Saturday with Rev. Angus MacGillivray officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. MacInnis died at the Guest Home on April 9. Pallbearers were Brendan MacInnis, Billy MacEachern, Carmen Tobin, Don Hurst, John B. MacEachern and Buddy MacInnis. Born in Cape George, Antigonish County, he was a son of the late John W. and Matilda (MacEachern) MacInnis. He was a rural mail driver before going to Saskatchewan in 1926, where he worked as a master carpenter and built many churches. He returned to Nova Scotia in 1971. He is survived by a brother Dan Hugh, Antigonish; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five sisters, Margaret, Mary, Elizabeth, Anne, Catherine (Mrs. William MacEachern); five brothers, Mark, William, Collin, Angus and Collin F.
