Funeral services for the late David (A.D.) MacKenzie, 40, of Peterborough, Ontario, and formerly of Cape George, Antigonish County, were held this past Sunday in St. Columba Church, Lakevale, with Rev. Angus MacGillivray officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Maryvale. Mr. MacKenize died on September 9 in Peterborough. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Archibald and Christine (MacDonald) MacKenzie. Pallbearers were Paul Dunbar, Troy Dunbar, Doug Arsenault, Lester Hawes, Gerard Livingstone and Jackie Doyle. He is survived by his wife, the former Valerie Chisholm; one daughter, Mary Jean, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Jean MacGillivray, Lanark; Mary (Mrs. Richard) Dunbar, St. Joseph’s; Mrs. Teresa Doucette, Halifax; and Donalda (Mrs. Doug)Arsenault, Summerside. He was predeceased by an infant brother.
