20 Aug 1962 – William McDonald Ballentine
William M. Ballentine, 89, died Monday morning at the home of a son, George Ballentine, Lance Creek, Wyoming, at 6:30 o’clock. He had been ill the last several weeks. Born June 21, 1873, in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Alexandria and Harriett Ballentine. He was married to Lulu Hahn in December, 1908. She is deceased. He was a glass worker for many years with MacBeth – Evans in Elwood and later at Fortsmith, Ark. He was a member of the Elwood Masonic lodge. Survivors include two children; the son, at whose home he died, and a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Legg of Hobbs; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The body will arrive in Elwood Wednesday morning at 3:10 o’clock and will be taken to the Orpher and Fesler funeral home. Funeral arrangements will be made later.
