Alfred T. Barber – Elizabeth – Alfred T. Barber, 64, of 611 Magie Ave., died last night (Oct 17, 1965) in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital after a brief illness.  Born in Cambridge, Mass., Mr. Marber had lived in Elizabeth 39 years. He was a tool and dye maker for the Republic Wire Company of Woodbridge.  He leaves his widow Catherine; four daughters, Mrs. Bernard J. Mondi of Scotch Plains, Mrs. Normal H. Chester of Westfield, Mrs. Patrick Corcia of Newark and Mrs. James J. Sullivan of Alexandria, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Finneran and Mrs. Emily Wick, both of Somerville, Mass.  The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the James H.J. Higgins and Son Mortuary and a Solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9 in St. Mary’s Church.  Interment will be in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Woodbridge.
