Anna Irene Baxter, 74, widow of Harold Baxter of Addington Forks, died in St. Martha’s Hospital on April 27.  The funeral service was held in St. James United Church on Sunday.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  The pallbearers were Joseph MacDougall, Maurice Kelly, Lorne Baxter, Bernard MacDonald, Henry Doyle and Gordon Pushie.  Mrs. Baxter was born in Willowdale, the daughter of George and Margaret (MacIntosh) Taylor.  Her husband died in 1970.   She was a member of the United Church Women and Naomi Rebekah Lodge.   Surviving are two sons, Raymond, Caledonia, Ontario; George, Addington Forks; five daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Harold Ballantyne) and Anna (Mrs. Allan Adams), of Cape George; Ruth (Mrs. Gerard Bent), Dartmouth; Alice, Halifax; Clare (Mrs. John Savoie), Bramalea; and 15 grand-children.  Also surviving are two brothers, Ross. North East Margaree; and Raymond, Vancouver.  Her brother Arthur is dead.
