
Known as the MacEachern house , it was originally owned by George Ballantyne (c. 1870). He sold it to Henry and Elizabeth Burnside who lived in it til around 1875. Burnside’s sold it to Dougald MacMillian for $820.00 and they lived in it from 1875 to 1882. Dougald willed it to his son John G. MacMillian and he lived there until 1886 when he sold it for $1,200.00 to Dan Beaton who lived in it til 1926. In 1926 Dan and family moved to the U.S. and the house was sold to the MacEachern family who still occupy it today.
