On April 22, 1942, after a lingering illness at his home at Livingstone’s Cove, Angus Brown passed away consoled by the last rites of the Catholic church of which he was a faithful member. He was born at Georgeville seventy-one years ago, a son of Kenneth Brown and Catherine Fraser. After spending a number of years in the U.S.A. he settled down at Livingstone’s Cove where he remained and married Mary MacDougall who survives him. He leaves to mourn their loss, two daughters and six sons; Catherine, Natick, Mass., Margaret, Newton Highlands, Mass.; John D., at Livingstone’s Cove; James, Ardness; Gillis, with the Canadian Forces overseas; Angus, with the Canadian forces in Ontario; Joseph and Gussie at home; also three sisters; Mrs John D. MacGillivray, Antigonish; Mrs. Catherine MacKay, Springhill; and Mrs. Margaret Gero, Worcester, Mass. After requiem Mass, sung by Rev. Dougald MacEachern, who also officiated at the grave, his remains were laid to rest in Georgeville cemetery, April 25.
