Military Rites for A.D. Brown – A funeral with military honours was held today (Thursday) for Angus Donald Brown, 55, who died in Toronto on September 1. The service was held in St. George’s Church, Georgeville, and burial was in the parish cemetery. Mr. Brown was born at Livingstone’s Cove, a son of Angus B. and Mary (MacDougall) Brown. He was a barber and had spent the past 14 years in Toronto. A veteran of World War II, he served with the Canadian-American forces in the Aleutian Islands and with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders in northwestern Europe. Surviving are four brothers and two sisters; John D., Livingstones Cove; James, Lismore, Gus and Gillis, Antigonish; Katherine Gillis and Margaret Brown, both of Framingham, Mass. A brother, Joseph, is dead.
