J. Brown, Fisherman, Mourned – Joseph Brown, 60, a fisherman of Livingstone’s Cove, died suddenly at his home on October 18. The funeral was held on Tuesday at St. George’s Church, Georgeville, and burial was in the parish cemetery. He was the son of Angus and Mary (MacDougall) Brown and was born at the cove. Survivors include his wife, the former Marie Chisholm of Meadow Green; two daughters, Mary Christine and Catherine Ann, at home; five brothers and two sisters; John D., Livingstone’s Cove; James Lismore; Catherine (Mrs. E. Gillis), Framingham, Mass.; Gus, Antigonish; Margaret, Framingham; Gillis, of Antigonish; and Angus Kamloops, British Columbia. He was predeceased by a son 16 years ago.
