Mrs Mary Brown – The death of Mrs. Mary Brown occurred June 10th in St. Martha’s Hospital, Antigonish. Mrs. Brown had been in ill health for the past several months. She was the widow of the late Angus Brown, Livingstones Cove, who predeceased her in 1942. Born at Livingstones Cove 75 years years ago, she was the daughter of the late Donald MacDougall and Catherine MacIsaac. Her gentle unassuming manner and Christian character won for her a host of friends. She was a life-long member of St. George’s Church, Georgeville. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Angus L. Gillis (Catherine), Georgeville, and Margaret in Framingham, Mass; six sons, John D. and Joe of Livingstones Cove; James, Lismore; Gus and Gillis, Antigonish; and Angus, Halifax; three sisters Mrs. Joseph Hill, Framingham, Mass; Miss Elizabeth MacDougall, R.N., Brooklyn, NY; and Mrs. George Francis also of Brooklyn. Requiem High Mass was celebrated in St. George’s Church by Reverend MacLean, P.P.
