The death occurred on Aug. 19th of Mrs. Annie Carrigan, wife of late Dan Carrigan at her home in Springhill, following several weeks of illness. She had the misfortune of falling 3 months before her death when she broke both arms, but after a month spent in local hospital she fully recovered from her injury. Mrs. Carrigan was born in Cape George, 90 years ago, daughter of Mr and Mrs Lewis MacEachern and in 18?3 was married at Georgeville to Daniel Carrigan, Briely’s Brook who died four years ago. She leaves to mourn 3 sons, Lewis, William and Ivan, one daughter Mrs. Mable Fagan in Detroit. Four brothers, Ronald, Hugh at Ballantynes Cove, George Pinebale Lauchie, Sullivan, Ind and two sisters Mrs. A MacDonald (Millie) in New Glasgow and Mrs Mary McInnis, Ballantyne’s Cove. The funeral was held at Springhill. (hard to read, may not be exact….)
