Andrew Joseph Chisholm, 76, a retired fisherman and carpenter of Malignant Cove, died in St. Martha’s Hospital on February 25.  The funeral Mass was celebrated in St. George’s Church, Georgeville, and burial was in the parish cemetery.  The honorary pallbearers were Alex MacAdam, George Wicks, Leo MacInnis, Lauchie MacInnis, Charles Teasdale, and John Dan Heffernan.  The active pallbearers were A.B. Chisholm, Hugh M. Chisholm, Cyril MacGillivray, Chris Macdonald, Rod Chisholm and Rod Adams.  Mr. Chisholm was a member of the Holy Name Society.  A native of Malignant Cove, he was a son of Joseph and Mary Ann (MacDonald) Chisholm.  He was predeceased  by his wife, the former Mary Agnes MacInnis of Georgeville; a son and a brother.  Surviving are four daughters; Theresa (Mrs. A.B. Chisholm, Georgeville; Betty (Mrs. Hugh Chisholm), Antigonish; Isabelle (Mrs. Chris MacDonald), St. Andrews; and Bernadette (Mrs. Cyril MacGillivray, Addington Forks; three sons, Charles, Georgeville, Jackie, Antigonish; and Ronald Joseph, Toronto; 33 grandchildren and three great grandchildren  Also surviving are four sisters and two brothers; Isabelle Grant and Katie Goesswiein, Malignant Cove; Jeanette Asselstine, Antigonish; Marion Allman, New York; Alexander, Detroit; and John A., Malignant Cove.
