Elizabeth (Mrs. Hugh) Chisholm, 44 of Post Road, Antigonish County, was buried following funeral services at St. Ninian’s Cathedral, January 7. Rev. Robert MacNeil officiated. Mrs. Chisholm died on January 4 at St. Martha’s Hospital. Pallbearers were Joseph MacGill, Paul MacGill, Kevin Kenny, Gary Kenny, Leonard Chisoholm, and Junior Chisholm. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Born at Malignant Cove, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (MacInnis) Chisholm. Surviving besides her husband, Hugh Chisholm, are four daughters: Debbie (Mrs.Robert Hearn), both of Antigonish; Theresa and Donalda, at home; three sons: Reggie, Antiognish; Joseph and Shane, at home; three sisters: Theresa (Mrs. Ambrose Chisholm), Georgeville; Isabel (Mrs. Chris MacDonald), St. Andrew’s; and Bernadette (Mrs. Cyril MacGillivray), Addington Forks; three brothers: R.J., Ontario; Charles, Malignant Cove; and Jackie, Antigonish. She was predeceased by one brother Gordon, Sarnia, Ontario and one infant daughter.
