Delaney, Donald Patrick “Pete” of Lakevale, Antigonish County, passed away in St.Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, on July 23, 2018. Born in Antigonish, he was the son of the late James B “Jim” Delaney and Mary Alena (MacGillivray) Delaney. Pete was a farmer, fisherman, carpenter, and community volunteer. He is loved and will be sadly missed by his wife Irma (Butler); brothers, Bill (Patricia), Gerard (Elaine), Martin (Mary Jo), and Harold (Brenda); Irma’s
five brothers and two sisters and their spouses. Uncle Pete will also be lovingly remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews of the Delaney and Butler families. Visitation will be held in C. L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish, on Thursday July 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass will be Friday July 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Columba Church, Lakevale, Reverend Andrew Boyd presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
