C. Albert Falkenham passed away at the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg, on February 20.  He was born at Rhodes Corner in 1886, and was the son of the late Elam and Agnes Falkenham.  He was twice married.  His first wife, Catherine Ann MacDonald, of Cape George predeceased him several years ago.  From this marriage, he had two children, Kimball, Antigonish, and one daughter, Christine, who died in infancy; also eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  HIs second marriage was to Lucretia
Boliver.  Surviving are six brothers, William, Rhodes Corner; Paul, Upper LaHave; Howard and Allan, Lunenburg; and Ernest, Halifax; three sisters, Florence (Mrs. William Hynick); Viola (Mrs. Derry Schnares), Dean’s Corner, and Cassie (Mrs. Foster Conrad), Upper LaHave, Two brothers, Gideon and Artemas, and one infant sister predeceased him.  Funeral service was held at St. Norbert’s Roman Catholic church, Saturday at ten o’clock, Father Butts officiating.  Pallbearers were Lunenburg Legion members of which he was a member.  Interment was at Upper Lahave cemetery.  The late Mr. Falkenham survived World War I and saws service in France and Belgium.  In 1919 he was appointed keeper of the Cape George lighthouse and served thirty-three years, retiring in 1951
