88, Stroud, Ont., died December 1, 1994, at home. Born at Fisher Mills, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Isaac and Helene (Eadie) Fisher. He graduated from St. Francis Exavier University in 1928 with a degree in science. He spent most of his teaching career in the province of Quebec where he was principal of Shawinigan HIgh School before his retirement. He later taught at Dartmouth High School. During his active life, he took a great interest in church and community affairs. He was an ardent curler and managed several high school curling teams in provincial bonspiels. He was a past master in the masonic order and was presented with the 50-year jewel. Surviving are his wife, the former Jeanetta Adams; sons, Gerald, Bangkok, Thailand; Harold, Oakville, Ont; brothers Howard, Fisher Mills; Wilfred, Lochaber, Antigonish Co., four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Sarah, Ruth, Margaret; brothers Herbert, Eadie. Funeral was held December 5, in St. James United Church, Stroud, Rev. James Thompson officiated.
