Hilda (Hawes) Jackson (Edna’s sister) has her arm around her daughter, Shirley Jackson. Therefore, Hilda sent the picture to Edna and is the one who wrote on the back. • Ted/Lee Martin is the man in the photo, but I cannot place him yet, but he could be Eunice’s younger brother, Henry Martin. • Aunt Lola is Lola Bell (Hawes) Monro, Almon’s sister. She is likely the older women on the left edge of the photo. • Lola’s son died at age 40. His name was Cranswick Monro: the husband of Vera Marion Munroe. So the portion of Edna’s inscription “Judy Cranswick, Wife Vera” should be read “Judy. Cranswick’s wife, Vera.” Vera is presumably the women looking down at the center of the photo. • Given the above, “Judy” must be one of the 3 kids, and we can now see that Hilda was working her way back to front & left to right, which makes sense, so of the 3 little kids, Judy must be the girl on the left. This also makes sense since Judy is likely Judy Jackson, daughter of Hilda and sister of Shirley. Notice that Shirley and Judy are wearing similar swimsuits and are next to each other. • Ronald is next in line, consistent with the only boy being the one wearing suspenders. He is presumably Vera’s son, Ronald Munro. • Beverly is the last mentioned of the three small kids and, therefore, likely the right most one. As suspected by Brenda, Beverly could be Edna’s niece, Beverly Browne: the daughter of Evelyn (Hawes) Brown. • That leads us finally to the far right with “Mamma” (aka, Eunice Hawes). I estimate this to be 1943, somewhere in NS.
