Gillis: Alexander Richard Gillis, June 11, 1930, at Colchester County Hospital, which he entered the eve of June 10th after five weeks illness at his home, 955 Prince Street, Truro, with pneumonia. Before entering the hospital he was attended by Rev. Fr. Kinsella, Truro. He was born at Morar, NS, the son of James Gillis and Mary MacPherson, was a beloved son and loyal to his family, and by his kindness endeared himself to all those he met with. He will be sadly missed by his fellow-workers, having been employed by the C.N.R. for fifteen years. He was a most devoted husband and leaves a sorrowing wife and one young daughter Gloria Ann, also two sisters and four brothers. The attendance at the funeral which took place from the home of his sister, Mrs. Ronald A. MacDonald, Lennox, showed the devotion of all. Buried in Georgeville cemetery.
