There died at Glebe Road at the home of her son , February 19, 1941, Mrs. Margaret Gillis, daughter of the late Angus and Catherine (MacPherson) MacDonald, Big Marsh. Deceased was in her 88th year, and had been in failing health for some time. A woman of sterling qualities she was well liked by all who knew her. Her husband predeceased her by 13 years. She is survived by two daughters and three sons: Mrs. D.J. MacInnis, Cape George Point; Mrs. Angus MacIsaac, Malignant Cove; Dan with whom she made her home; Angus and John, Roxbury, Mass.; one brother, John D., Halifax; two sisters, Mrs. John MacIntyre, West Lakevale and Mrs. Margaret MacDonald, Dorchester Mass., besides fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. On February 22 her remains were laid to rest in Georgeville cemetery.
