On January 16, 1987, Miss Mary Catherine Gillis of Youville Home, St. Albert, formerly of St. Andrew’s Centre, Edmonton, passed away at the age of 86 years. She leaves to mourn her loss, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Catherine Gillis and a nephew Francis Gillis both of Millis, Massachusetts, and a nephew, Angus Grant of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Miss Gillis was predeceased by her brother, Reverend Francis Gillis, former pastor of St. Pius X Parish, Edmonton. Prayer services will be held Monday, January 19 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 12810-111 Avenue and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 20 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 13072 Sherbrook Avenue, with Reverence Gerard MacInnis celebrant and interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
