Another Nova Scotia Victim of the Princess Sophia disaster – Mrs. Dan Gillis, formerly of Georgeville, Antigonish, was a passenger on the above ill-fated steamer. She was coming out from White Horse to Vancouver where she was to join her husband for the winter. The latter had been residing at St. Michael’s . Mrs. Gillis’ body had not been found when the letter was written in Vancouver two weeks ago. Two hundred bodies of the 340 passengers and 87 of a crew have been recovered.
