Gordon, James

12 Apr 1944  James Gordon

Died at St. Martha’s Hospital, April 12, after an illness of seven weeks, James Gordon.  A native of Avondale, N.S., he removed early in life to Livingstone’s Cove.  After his second marriage he and his wife went to Piedmont, where he started the flourishing nursery business for which he was a traveling agent until the time of his death.  Friends in Inverness, Pictou and Antigonish counties will remember him as a man of kindliness and charm as well as a gifted conversationalist, and his passing will be heard of with deep regret by all who enjoyed his acquaintance.  His remains were taken to MacIsaac Undertaking Parlors and on April 14, was buried at Kenzieville cemetery.
