John B. Harnish, 83, died suddenly on August 18 in Inverness. Born in Port Dufferin, Halifax County, he was the son of the late Amos and Jane (Hurde) Harnish. Having been a resident of Cape George, Antigonish County, for most of his life, he moved to Inverness where he lived for 13 years prior to his death. Surviving are his sister Maude Walton, Delaware City, Delaware, and a niece, Mrs. John A. Gillis, Inverness. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Stella Maris Church, Inverness, and burial was in the parish cemetery.
