At Cape George, Antigonish Co, Sept 4 Ella C., beloved wife of C.E. Harris, Municipal Clerk. Mrs. Harris’s health had been failing for some months past, but of late had improved somewhat so that great hopes were entertained for her ultimate recovery. However, an attack of pleurisy despite the best medical care and attention resulted in death in the course of a few days. Mrs. Harris was a daughter of the late Willoughby Randall of Antigonish, and was a lady of refined and Christian character; a devoted wife and mother whose loss is most keenly felt, not only by her beloved husband and family, but by a wide circle of friends. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Edith of Cleveland, Ohio, Jean at home, and five sons, Bert of New York; Gerald, Guy and Kenneth, Antigonish; Reginald of Cleveland; also by one brother, F.H. Randall, Antigonish. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Rogers, of St. James Presbyterian Church. The many beautiful floral tributes and unusually large funeral cortege testified to the esteem in which she was held and the sympathy felt for the bereaved husband and family.
