Funeral services will be performed Thursday, in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, for the late Marcella Hay, 71, of the J.J. Carroll House, with Rev. A.J. MacLeod officiating.  Mrs. Hay died April 19 in St. Martha’s Hospital.  Pallbearers will be Terrence Grace, D. Howard MacDouall, William Fleuren, Duncan Chisholm, John L, Haley, and Joseph Farrell. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Born in Georgeville, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Ann (Brown) MacGillivray.  She was a well-known resident of Antigonish and was distinguished for her work in pottery, locally as well as in Florida.  Surviving are four sisters, Catherine (Mrs. Alex) Macdonald, Gertrude, (Mrs Walter) Smith and Mary, all of Antigonish; and Anne (Mrs. Fraser) MacIsaac, Ottawa.  She was predeceased by her husband Daniel; and four brothers, Angus Bernard, Beaton and John.
