The funeral for Sylvester “Buster” Jamieson, 54, of Phillips Harbour was held Tues. in Christ Church, Queensport, with burial in the parish cemetery. He died Sept. 5 in Ballantynes Cove. He was born in Peas Brook, son of the late William and Reta (Rhynold) Jamieson. He was a lifetime fisherman. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, five daughters, Linda (Mrs. Gilbert Greencorn), Half Island Cove; Janet (Mrs. Jerome Porter), Dort’s Cove; Margaret (Mrs. Thomas Bouchie), Dover, Cindy and Beverly both at home. Seven sons, Sylvester Jr, Mattie Settlement, Roger, Phillips Harbour; Robert and David both of Prince Edward Island; Terry, Pictou, Douglas and Kenny both at home, three sisters, Beatrice, Stellarton, Viola (Mrs. Thomas O’leary), Queensport, Winnifred (Mrs. Fred Williams) Lower Sackville, two brothers Willard in Ont. and Basil, Peas Brook. He was predeceased by two children in infancy.
