The death of George A. Livingston occurred at Aberdeen hospital on Saturday morning, November 21, in his 86th year after a brief illness. Born at Livingston’s Cove, where he resided for many years, he was the eldest son of the late John D. and Rachel (Taylor) Livingston. Of upright and honorable character he was esteemed and respected by all who knew him. Two sisters, Mrs. G.A. Richards, Jackson Heights, N.Y. and Mrs. J.F. Murphy, Portland, Me. and a brother John C. Livingston, Vancouver, B.C. survive him. The funeral services, both at the home of his niece Mrs. A.E. Pushie, New Glasgow, and at St. David’s Church, Cape George, were largely attended. Rev. R. Russell Gordon of Westminster Church, New Glasgow, assisted by Dr. E. V. Forbes of St. James United Church, Antigonish, conducted the service at Cape George, and interment was in the family plot there.
