New Glasgow/Cape George Pt., Antigonish Co. – Christena MacDonald, 89, Glen Haven Manor, formerly of Munroe Ave., New Glasgow, and Cape George Pt., Antigonish Co., passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006, in the Manor. Born in Cape George Pt., she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Agnes (Browning) MacDonald. Before moving to New Glasgow in 1990 Christena lived all her life in Cape George Pt. She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, Ballantyne’s Cove. She is survived by sisters, Catherine MacDonald, New Glasgow; and Sadie Bray, New Glasgow; three nieces and one nephew. Funeral mass will be held from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, at 11 a.m. Friday, with Father Bill Burke officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
