Funeral services for the late Daniel Alexander MacDonald, 90, of Pleasant Valley, Antigonish County, were held on March 20 in Holy Rosary Church, Ballantyne’s Cove, with Rev. Angus MacGillivray officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Mr. MacDonald died on March 17 in St. Martha’s Hospital. Pallbearers were Frank MacNeil, Kimball Falkenham, Charlie MacDonald, Tony MacEachern, Mark MacInnis and Jackie MacInnis. Born in Cape George Point, he was a son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (MacLean) MacDonald. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by his nephew, Hugh MacGillivray, and two nieces, Mary MacLellan and Catherine eMacDonald, all of Pleasant Valley. He was predeceased by two sisters Charlotte and Marion; and two brothers, Allan and Duncan.
