In Antigonish where he had gone for treatment a few days previously there passed to his eternal reward, Donald D. MacDonald, Cape George Point, at the age of 80 years. He was the last member of the family of Donald Duncan (Taylor) MacDonald and his wife Mary Gillis. He died consoled by the last rites of the Catholic Church of which he was a devout member. The deceased spent his whole life at the place of his birth, and will long be remembered as a good neighbor and friend. In his declining years he was tenderly cared for by his three nephews with whom he made his home. After requiem Mass by his pastor Rev. A. MacAdam, his remains were laid to rest on Sept. 30, in Holy Rosary cemetery, Ballantyne’s Cove.
