Dugald Grant MacDonald died in Shaughnessy Military Hospital, Vancouver, in his 77th year. He is survived by two children and several grandchildren; two sisters, Mother Mary Agnes of Mission, B.C., and Josie MacDonald of Vancouver. Born in New Westminster, B.C., and brought up in Malignant Cove, he was a son of John Gabriel Macdonald of South Side Harbour and Mary Agnes Grant of Malignant Cove. He served overseas in World War I. A funeral mass was offered in Holy Name Church in Vancouver. Burial was in the Field of Honour Mountain View cemetery.
