On April 26, Florence, widow of John MacDoinald, North Side Cape George, following a brief illness of pneumonia, at the home of her son Councillor Stephen MacDonald. Deceased was 81 years old, a woman to whom the acts of kindness and thoughtfulness were routine. She was esteemed by all who knew her. Her life was unselfishly devoted to others. A Christian woman full of faith she was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. Donald MacNeil and was born at North Side Cape George. Marrying Mr. MacDonald she lived all her life there. Her husband predeceased her by 38 years. Surviving are two daughters and three sons: Mrs. Frank MacDonald, Grand Forks, MC.; Mrs. L.D. MacDonald, Briley Brook; Daniel, Grand Forks; John Joe, Morar and Stephen at home; besides a brother Ronald MacNeil, Vancouver Island. Her funeral took place Monday in the presence of a large number of mourners. Requiem Mass at Georgeville was celebrated by Rev. B. Campbell, who also officiated at the grave.
