Michael Dan MacDonald, 68, retired farmer and fisherman of Malignant Cove, died Monday, Oct 12 in St. Martha’s Hospital after a brief illness. Son of Dan Ronald MacDonald and Mary Ann Macdonald, he was born in Boston, Mass., but had lived most of his years at Malignant Cove. He was of a kind and hospitable disposition and during his life here he made many friends and all surviving him regret his passing. Surviving are his widow, Christena, five sons, Donald and Joseph, Ontario; William F. with the Canadian Army, Francis and Dougals at home, two daughters, Sarah and Mamie at home, also two brothers Francis in Boston, Mass.; and Ronald D., Hamilton, Ontario; one sister Cecelia in U.S.A. After Requiem Mass at St. George’s Church, Georgeville his remains were laid to rest in St. George’s Cemetery. Prayers at this church and grave were offered by Rev. L. MacLean, P.P.
