MacDougall, Florence Helena “Lena”, age 90 of the R.K, MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish, formerly of Livingstone’s Cove passed away on April 16, 2015 at the nursing home. Born in Livingstone’s Cove, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Florence (MacKinnon) Gillis. Lena worked in 2nd West of St. Martha’s Hospital for twenty-seven years, where she was known for her homemade fudge. She is survived by her children Gloria Bayers, Halifax; Christine Dunn, Edmonton; Gerard (Betty), Antigonish; Mary (Hugh) MacInnis, Cape George; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Predeceased by her husband Angus, Brother Joseph and John R.; sisters Florence, Margaret and Mary. ….. Funeral Mass will be in St. George’s Church, Georgeville on Monday at 11:00 am with Reverence Evo Di Pierro presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date.
